Hangin' with Coldplay!

Never mind the drunk guy that thought he owned the section we were sitting in and wanted to start a fight with a 50 year old woman...Never mind the couple a few rows in front of us that should have purchased a hotel room instead of concert tickets... Never mind that it was 104 degrees at the Sleeptrain Amphitheatre until the sun went down... Never mind it cost $24 for 2 waters and two sandwiches...and Never mind the 45 minute wait to get out of the parking lot even driving aggressively after the show...COLDPLAY WAS SOOOOOOO AWESOME!
Coldplay puts on the raddest show! A few different times, the band moved off the stage and played in different parts of the crowd. While traveling to one of these places, the band walked right next to me...literally. I could reach my hand out and touch them. Unfortunately, I was trying to get a video of it on my phone and didn't get the chance to touch those sweaty British singers. If you watch the following video closely, you'll see the lead singer, Chris (You know, the one whose married to Gweneth Paltrow), walk by in a blue shirt super fast:
I didn't bring my camera....GRRRRRRRR.... so I took pictures of the famous dude that is on every morning show around here with my cell phone, he walked by me too:

A nice treat at the end, was a free Live CD of Coldplay and sporting on the cover was 2 butterfly's (one on each side)...the same butterfly's that were blown all over the stadium as confetti during one of their songs!

Guess I got some pretty good seats considering they were "in the middle". I mean, all the sights I got in my seat were amazing (except the drunk guy making out with his girlfriend and the other couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other)!

Here's to hoping that the Killers, Blink 182, and Weezer puts on a show as good as Coldplay...Two more concerts, here we come! I'm soooo excited!!!!
VIVA LA VIDA BABY!

Check Up
Carly is already 18 months old. Crazy, I know. Where does the time go? Oh ya, changing diapers, feeding, playing, loving, cuddling, disciplining, protecting, transporting, and so on and so forth, children (take a deep breath now...Phew!)
She had her 18 month doctor appointment today. When they put her on the scale, all I could do was quietly laugh. A nurse who obviously is familiar with our family (cause the doctor's office is like our second home), walked by and said "She hasn't gained any weight has she?"...All I could say was "Nope"...Carly weighed in a whopping 18 lbs. 13 oz. That's 0.04% and not even on the growth charts! Technically, she should still be facing backwards in the car. To put it in perspective for you, a friend of mine has a five month old who weighs, 18 lbs. Another friend of mine has a six month old who weighs 16 lbs. One more friend of mine has a daughter who is 3 days older than Carly and weighs close to 30 lbs. My child's a shrimp. Guess she fits right into the Poindexter side. If you know my side of the family, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
An hour before her appointment, she was running and tripped, landing right into the corner of a chair. I was praying that when I picked her up and faced her to me, she wouldn't be gushing with blood. She wasn't but she had a huge goose egg on her head with a bloody mark. The doctor took a look at it and said that it was a hemotomin (spelling?) and not to be surprised if she woke up in the morning with black eyes. I don't beat my children, I swear.
The doctor's office had a teeny tiny basket of toys in the room. While waiting for the doctor, Carly dumped all the stuff out and climbed in: (if you look close enough, you can see the goose egg on her forehead through her massive amount of hair)

I just love that little girl of mine!

Late...I Know!
I have bigger and sometimes better things to do other than blogging these days. I mean, I haven't even blogged about my anniversary which was at the end of May! Activities creep up and then they're gone, leaving only a memory.
I just wanted to share the present I made for Patrick on Father's Day. I made a little scavenger hunt with clever clues that led to a homemade candy bar card. The last clue was on the card which led him to the TV where he watched this:
I am so glad that he is the father of my babies. He's a great dad and I am grateful he's stuck around for all these years. Love you babe!

Oh ya...how could I forget this one???

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Lil' Raya...I can't believe she's 10!

A Rite of Passage
I have so much to blog about. I do a little at a time thinking that I will soon be caught up, only to have more items blog worthy to post...Maybe one of these days I will sit down and blog all day... As for now, enjoy this video of Raya and Malia getting their ears pierced...I totally remember getting mine done back in the day, how I would have loved a video like this to capture the moment..
