Summer..Summer...Summertime!

It's officially summer and what better way to spend it than in the pool. My kids are becoming quite the little tan fish and school hasn't even been out for a month yet. Ethan has become very brave and will probably be swimming with confidence by the end of summer. He is well on his way to becoming a fish without floaties! Check out Ethan the Fish Video below...

As for the other kids...Raya isn't doing swim team this year and is having fun playing instead of swimming laps this summer. Malia is getting better with swimming every day. She taught herself how to swim a few summers back and is now doing flips and mermaid swims. Carly...oh Carly, she is the only one of my kids who doesn't like water. I finally got her not to scream everytime I give her a bath and now I am determined to get her used to the pool! It's just not acceptable for her to be in this family and not like the water...Hopefully my determination doesn't force her into therapy when she's older.

OUCH!

Carly got her shots yesterday...I'm a month behind. She has been sick with various items (flu, cold, and double ear infection) so the doctor postponed them. She is reacting to them as normal...crankiness and fever, but all in all, she has been a pretty good girl today. The one good thing about the shots is that it makes her sleep real good. She sleeps with her eyes open. We have to close them, otherwise it creeps us out. Check out the picture below. I assure you, she is totally asleep.

Negro Bar

We enjoyed a day out at the lake (Negro Bar) with daddy. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed being together as a family. That is how Patrick wanted us to celebrate him being a Father. He is such a wonderful husband/father/man and I am so grateful that he belongs to us!

I still don't have a swimsuit for Carly. I am not sure they even make them her size. She had fun hanging out in her onesie and playing with a diaper (I forgot to bring some toys for her)

Raya, Malia, and Ethan had a lot of fun playing in the sand. We brought some bowls and spoons and some shovels and that was all they needed to have fun. Raya's swimsuit ripped and she had a hole on her butt so she had to swim with her heavy pants on.

So...I asked Patrick if he would take a picture of Carly and I together by the water. I bent down to put Carly's feet in. He started to take pictures. When I got home and viewed the pictures...this is what I saw.

I should have known better. This isn't the first time I've seen pictures of various body parts of mine. Towards the end of our lake visit, Ethan wanted me to draw a monster in the sand. It turned out cute and then we were packing up ready to leave. Malia decided to step on the monster's nose and she sort of ruined it. Ethan flipped out about it and cried all the way home. He was surely tired and so were the rest of us!

Let's Play Ball!

Trogan Virus

I have been video taping class plays at the Elementary School this year and have this huge project due but my computer is freaking out on me! I've un-installed and re-installed my program only for it to work worse. Patrick checked my computer and found that there were no viruses on it... Even though there weren't any viruses on it, he decided to wipe out my entire laptop and re-install the operating system. So today, I am working on the computer and I click on a link to find a Mormon Temple clipart and !!BAM!! up popped all these things saying my computer was at risk. Patrick happened to be home from work and so I had him look at it. He got soooo angry because...you guessed it! A trogan virus was found...He went back to work mad. I just hope I get my computer back soon so I can finish this project that is taking me two weeks longer to finish...

Hooter Hider

I am not one that has ever enjoyed breastfeeding before...especially in public! A lady in my ward gave me a "peekaboo baby" nursing cover as a gift back when Carly was about 5 lbs. lighter. Her daughter makes them and they are absolutely wonderful. So I was using it at Malia's birthday party and one of the mommy's asked me if the cover was a "Hooter Hider"...At first I wasn't sure I had heard it correctly and asked her to repeat herself. Sure enough, I had heard it correctly and am now calling my cover-up a Hooter Hider....absolutely genius!

I've seen these tickers before but never one for breastfeeding...Who comes up with these things? So...How long have I needed to use a Hooter Hider??? Check out the ticker below...

Blogspot VS. Myspace

Ok, so I have been a "myspacer" for quite some time now. All my sibling's are on it, husband, and a lot of friends from my younger years as well. Recently I learned of this thing called Blogspot. I have more friends and some family who have been "blogging" away for quite some time now..So here I am. I'm getting a feel for it, seeing if I like it and most importantly, if I actually use it. I guess it's a great way to do my journal writing right? So here goes nothing. Blogspot...Here I come!
